Seller Image Requirements

To maintain a safe, trustworthy, and professional marketplace, all sellers on Artsy Craftsy must ensure that any images uploaded to their listings comply with the following requirements.

1. Ownership and Rights

Sellers must only upload images that:

  • They have created themselves.
  • They have permission or a valid licence to use.
  • Are in the public domain and may legally be used for commercial purposes.

By uploading images, sellers confirm they have the necessary rights to use and display them on Artsy Craftsy.

2. Accurate Representation

Images must accurately represent the item being sold. Sellers must not:

  • Use misleading or deceptive images.
  • Display products that differ significantly from the item being offered for sale.
  • Use stock images without clearly stating that they are for illustrative purposes only.

3. Prohibited Images

The following content is not permitted:

  • Copyrighted images used without permission.
  • Images containing offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or hateful content.
  • Violent, graphic, or disturbing imagery.
  • Illegal products or activities.
  • Watermarks, logos, or branding belonging to third parties without authorisation.
  • Misleading claims, false certifications, or inaccurate product information.

4. Personal Information

Images must not contain:

  • Private addresses.
  • Telephone numbers.
  • Email addresses.
  • Financial information.
  • Any personal information belonging to another person without their consent.

5. Image Quality Standards

Sellers should ensure that images:

  • Are clear, well-lit, and of reasonable quality.
  • Show the product as the primary subject of the image.
  • Are not excessively edited or altered in a way that could mislead buyers.

6. Unlimited Photos and Fair Use

Artsy Craftsy allows sellers to upload an unlimited number of photographs to help buyers make informed purchasing decisions. This feature is provided to showcase products effectively and improve the shopping experience.

However, image uploads must be used responsibly. Sellers must not:

  • Upload duplicate, repetitive, or substantially identical images solely to occupy space.
  • Use excessive numbers of images that do not relate to the product being sold.
  • Upload images intended to manipulate search results, mislead buyers, or negatively affect platform performance.
  • Use image uploads to advertise unrelated products, services, websites, social media accounts, or businesses.

All uploaded images must be relevant to the listing and provide genuine value to potential buyers, such as showing:

  • Different angles and views.
  • Product features and details.
  • Materials, dimensions, and finishes.
  • Variations, customisation options, or examples of completed work.
  • Packaging or presentation where relevant.

Artsy Craftsy reserves the right to remove images, restrict image usage, or take action against seller accounts where image uploads are deemed excessive, misleading, abusive, or otherwise inconsistent with the intended purpose of the marketplace.

7. Intellectual Property Complaints

Artsy Craftsy reserves the right to remove any image that may infringe intellectual property rights. Sellers may be required to provide evidence of ownership, permission, or licensing upon request.

8. Platform Rights

Artsy Craftsy may review, reject, remove, or request changes to any image that:

  • Violates this policy.
  • Breaches applicable laws or regulations.
  • May damage the reputation, safety, or integrity of the marketplace.

9. Seller Responsibility

Sellers are solely responsible for all images uploaded to their listings. Repeated violations of this policy may result in:

  • Image removal.
  • Listing suspension.
  • Account restrictions.
  • Temporary suspension from selling.
  • Permanent removal from the Artsy Craftsy marketplace.

Reporting Violations

If you believe an image infringes your copyright, trademark, privacy rights, or other legal rights, please contact Artsy Craftsy with sufficient information so that the matter can be investigated promptly.

Agreement

By uploading images to Artsy Craftsy, sellers agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy and all applicable laws relating to copyright, trademarks, privacy, intellectual property, and consumer protection.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in content removal, account restrictions, or termination of marketplace privileges.
